Anderson Trucking Company Truck Accident Attorney
Harold Anderson founded Anderson Trucking Company (ATS) in 1955, hauling quarried blocks for Coal Spring Granite after purchasing the assets owned by Granite City Transfer. In early January 1955, Harold incorporated the company and named his new business Anderson Trucking Service that started providing services in March of that year.
By 1956, the company started LTL (less than truckload) freight service. The next year, the company expanded the facility and St. Cloud, Minnesota constructing additional service bays to handle Stone and granted transportation. It was during this time that the company began transporting Granite quarried Stone from Texas using the newly built interstate highway system.
The company purchased another Minneapolis carrier in 1958 to transport construction equipment, heavy machinery, supplies, materials, and other commodities not associated with the stone and granted industry. The company began expanding its delivery system into Wisconsin and Iowa.
By the 1980s, Anderson trucking company invested more than $4 million to upgrade its fleet due to the recently enacted Surface Transportation Act of 1980, D regulating the trucking industry. The company purchased Wheels Transportation during this decade. By 1989, the company had generated annual revenues of more than $100 million. In 2018, the company’s annual revenues topped more than $605 million.
In the last decade, the Company has opened global offices for international business, including a Houston terminal that exports goods worldwide. According to statistics, Anderson Trucking Service is the forty-first largest trucking company for hire in America. The company does business as an LTL (less than truckload) carrier, meaning the company delivers mixed freight. This type of trucking is opposite a Truckload (LT) carrier that delivers trucks containing similar products, goods, and materials to multiple locations.

Truck Driver Liability
If you were involved in an accident with a Anderson Trucking Company commercial vehicle, filing and resolving a claim for compensation could be complicated. Typically, the law enforcement arriving at the scene of the accident will cite one or more drivers for negligence. While the Anderson Trucking Company truck driver might be considered at fault, additional compensation might be obtained if your attorney can prove that the trucking company failed to provide enough training or supervision of their driver.
Sometimes, the truck driver is working for the company under a contractual agreement, making it more challenging to go after the company as a plaintiff in a case, you do have the right to file a lawsuit against the trucker, the trucking company, maintenance crews, roadway crews, and others, including contractual employees.
